Hi there :)!
I’m Yasmin from a beautiful Spanish city near the Mediterranean sea, Barcelona. I’ve had the luck of human living for 25 years. I’m a purple sunset seeking, positive being, yoga admiring, food loving and travel enthusiast!
Since a child I’ve always been enamored about the features of restaurants: decoration, service, plate presentation, taste and ambiance.
Studying in an American school system taught me about the benefits of organization, leadership and motivation skills to achieve a thought, passion or dream. Also, about having a clear systematic image in my mind to not omit anything.
From there I graduated with an International Baccalaureate in 2013 where I moved on to study dental medicine in Universitat Internacional de Catalunya. Through dental school, I learned how to study a huge amount of information and to be able to change my patient’s life by doing simple or challenging treatments. All of this made grow as a person.
I graduated from dental school in July 2018 and I worked for an entire year as a general dentist and then moved to New York University to specialise in an advanced program in Comprehensive dentistry. The combination of the city and the post graduate program made me a more independent, confident and fast paced person. I met people from all over the world and I was able to try a vast selection of cuisines. There I started a personal food blog sharing my own recipes, restaurants and travelling tips.
From there COVID-19 came along and I returned home, Barcelona, and continued my studies remotely. It was difficult and confusing to understand how my experience in New York came to an end due the pandemic situation. However, I was happy to reunite with my family and elementary school friends.
And watch sunsets in Barcelona.
And travel to the Balearic Islands with caution.
Escaped to the village of Montserrat to hike with special Spanish friends.
And travelled to one of my favorite summer cities, Beirut, with friends from London and Spain.
After some months living in Barcelona, I got accepted to begin a Master in Orthodontics and dentofacial Orthopedics in Madrid. I arrived the day of Halloween, really, on the 31st of October. Every time I meet people from Madrid and they ask me how long have I been there, I tell them since the day of Halloween and they laugh, why Halloween? Lol.
My favorite activities have been running every morning in Retiro Park. It gives me energy to start the day with a positive smile.
I also visited a modern art museum named Ikono that uses lights and imagination to activate senses of touch, smell and sight. It will emerge you in different spaces each and everyone of them with unique features.
I have also kept my fabulous habits of drinking organic juices and eating delicious breakfast food. I’ve become obsessed with my green juice recipe that I discovered back in quarantine days.
A only 3-day experience that has little chances of being repeatable is the day of January that I woke up with a huge magical snow covering Madrid entirely.
In Easter break I travelled to the beautiful country of Colombia. Visited Bogotá, Cartagena, Barú, Santa Marta, Tayrona, and Palomino.

Ps. I’m publishing really soon my cooking book that I’ve been working on for the past year 🙂 .
